Day 4: Cycling the Mereenie Loop to Uluru

Day 4 - Kings Canyon to Bush Camp ~80km

Today was a little shorter in terms of Km's but it was a long day overall with vicious headwinds and a long morning hike. It started off with a 10km cycle to Kings Canyon followed by at 6km hike, I arrived nice and early and was glad I did so because as I was leaving, flocks of tourist busses arrived.

"When I got back on the road I was faced with some serious headwinds and it was 11am, some rough calculations told me that I'd be lucky to even make 70km today. I cycled to Kings Creek station and had a burger then had to donate money to refill my water.

Just slowly rode until 5:30pm and set up camp in the bush. Mac and Cheese for dinner. Long day but glad to get some K's under my belt, hoping for no headwinds tomorrow!"

Anyone who has ever ridden a loaded bike can appreciate how hard it is to take a photo like this.
Look mum, no hands!
