Taken during day 3 of my ride to Uluru. When this video was taken I had ridden ~80km over 7 hours, (it was slow going), I was physically and mentally exhausted and there was 1 hour to go until sunset. Things weren't really going my way..
Whilst fixing a flat tyre, I managed to lose a crucial nut that holds my front wheel onto my bike. It was lost somewhere in the soft sand in front of me, it was like finding a needle in a haystack, I was on the verge of a mental breakdown. In the video you'll notice where I've been trying to sieve through the sand with my fingers. I was ready to give up and go home...
