Holiday Mode

Early December, me and my brother rode to Esperance and arrived just in time to celebrate Christmas and New years. We didn't bring a stove and so we ate a shit load of baked beans and sandwiches, having the great luxury of having either peanut butter, nutella or jam. Yum. All in all it was a pretty fun trip and I hope to go longer and further next time. Across to Adelaide maybe?

The picture above was taken around Bridgetown where we both got our first taste of long uphills on a loaded bike. That day there were apparently some bush fires around the area hence the foggy background. I grew fond of the hills whereas my brother hated them and preferred the long straights (which I hated).

Yohei, who is also fond of hills, and just returned from Tassy. He documented his ride here. Looks like he had a blast!

As of late I've been in savings mode, working and sleeping, hoping to save as much as possible for an up and coming bike tour which could take me thousands of kilometres away from home however a destination and date of departure has yet to be determined. I'm slowly rebuilding my touring bike to make it as reliable and durable as possible.
